Genus: Aegopodium 羊角芹屬
Family: Apiaceae or Umbelliferae 傘形科, 繖形科, celery, carrot or parsley family
Origin: Archaeophyte (established before 1500 AD). An Eurosiberian Temperate species, certainly native in C. Europe. Archaeological evidence suggests it was introduced in Roman times, probably for medicinal and culinary use.
Date: 28th June & 6th July
An erect plant, can reach up to 100 cm. Leaves 1-2 - ternate; leaflets broad, toothed.
The central umbel is female and now bearing fruits with styles whereas the other outer umbels are bisexual (hermaphroditic).
