Centaurea cyanus 矢車菊

Common name: Cornflower
Scientific name: Centaurea cyanus 矢車菊
Genus: Centaurea 矢車菊屬
Family: Asteraceae or Compositae 菊科, aster , daisy, composite or sunflower family

Origin: Archaeophyte (established before 1500 AD). It has a distribution centred on the European Temperate region and it is known to have been present in Britain from the Iron Age onwards.

An erect plant, can reach up to 90 cm.
