Common name: Common Nettle, Stinging Nettle
Scientific name: Urtica dioica 異株蕁麻
Genus: Urtica 蕁麻屬
Family: Urticaceae 蕁麻科, nettle family

Origin: native

Remarks: Trichomes on the stems and the leaves would cause stinging sensation and a rash when you brush against them. An allergic reaction would result in rarer case and medical attention should be sought immediately. Otherwise, use soap and water to wash the skin to relieve the pain. Lotions or ointments that contain hydrocortisone 氫羥腎上腺皮質素 / 氫化皮質酮 / 氫化可體松 can help to relieve the redness and itching.
