Remarks*:
Origin: Neophyte (established after 1500 AD). A native of China, Japan and Korea. It was introduced into cultivation in 1802, but was not grown successfully until its reintroduction in 1845. It was first recorded in the wild in 1917. It is highly invasive in coastal districts.
