Sedum anglicum 姬星美人

Common name: English Stonecrop
Scientific name: Sedum anglicum 姬星美人
Genus: Sedum 景天屬、佛甲草屬

Remarks*: 

Origin: native

Date: 3rd Aug


3025 A creeping, mat-forming, glabrous, glaucous, evergreen perennial, can reach up to 5cm. Flowers in few-flowered inflorescence with 2 main branches.

3026 Leaves alternate, 3-5mm, egg-shaped, spreading and clasping stem at base.

Family: Crassulaceae 景天科, stonecrop or orpine family

Remarks*: 

Origin: Neophyte (established after 1500 AD). A native of the Caucasus. It was introduced to cultivation in 1816 and was known from the wild by 1865. 

Date: 10th June & 10th Oct (fruits)
