Oxalis exilis

Common name: Least Yellow-sorrel
Scientific name: Oxalis exilis
Genus: Oxilis 酢醬草屬
Family: Oxalidaceae 酢醬草科, wood-sorrel family

Remarks*: 

Origin: Neophyte (established after 1500 AD). It is a native of Australasia. It was first recorded in the wild in 1926.

Oxalis acetosella 白花酢醬草

Common name: Wood-sorrel
Scientific name: Oxalis acetosella 白花酢醬草
Genus: Oxalis 酢醬草屬
Family: Oxalidaceae 酢醬草科, wood-sorrel family

Remarks:

Origin: native

Date:  10th April


A slender, rhizomatous perennial. All the leaves fold up and flowering stalks drop downwards now because of low light intensity.


The base of the plant. You could see the short stem here.

Folded up leaves.


One leave remained open. Leaves are trifoliate and pubescent.


There are five small green sepals for each flower. 


Petals are white with lilac veins. Looked from below to see the stamens and styles. Photo enlarged below to see the details.
