Calystegia silvatica

Common name: Large Bindweed
Scientific name: Calystegia silvatica
Genus: Calystegia 濱旋花屬
Family: Convolvulaceae 旋花科, bindweed or morning glory family

Origin: Neophyte (established after 1500 AD). It is a native of the Mediterranean region and S.W. Asia. It has been cultivated since 1815 and was collected wild in 1863 but not recognised as distinct form C. sepium 旋花 until 1948, by which time it was widespread.

note the bracteoles are strongly inflated at base and strongly overlapping at edges, almost completely hiding sepals
